CSM women move up to sixth in Central Region rankings

GOLDEN, Colo. – In the USTFCCCA (U.S.
Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association) Regional
Rankings released this morning the CSM women’s cross country
squad moved up one spot to sixth in the Central Region.
The CSM women finished third out of seven teams at the FHSU Tiger
Open in Hays, Kan. on Saturday, Oct. 10th. Sydney Laws led the CSM
women with her third top-ten finish in as many meets and was the
top finisher on the women’s side among the seven teams that
competed in the meet. Laws placed second overall (18:15.65) out of
68 runners. Marie Patton finished third (18:18.54), less than three
seconds behind Laws. Hannah Cooling finished just outside the top
ten in 12th-place (18:50.73).
The Orediggers will compete at the RMAC Championships on Saturday,
October 24th at Wash Park in Denver, Colo. The open race will begin
at 8:45 am followed by the women's race at 10:00 am and the men's
race at 11:00 am.
