Patton named RMAC Women’s Academic Runner of the Year; 12 total student-athletes earn Academic All-RMAC honors
Colorado School of Mines’ Marie Patton has been named the Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference Women’s Cross Country Academic Runner of the Year, as announced today by the RMAC. A total of 12 CSM student-athletes earned Academic All-RMAC honors. Along with Patton, Sydney Laws and Aaron Swift both were named to the First Team.

CSM men place 3rd at NCAA Div. II Cross Country Championships, Laws finishes 10th; Three Orediggers earn All-American honors
The CSM men’s cross country team and women’s runner Sydney Laws competed in the NCAA Div. II Cross Country Championships on Saturday, November 21st, at the Broadway Complex in Evansville, Ind. The Oredigger men finished 3rd out of the 24 teams while Laws posted a 10th-place finish out of 184 total female runners.

Mines men finish third to qualify for NCAA Championships; Women finish eighth, Sydney Laws qualifies as an individual
The Colorado School of Mines cross country teams competed in the 2009 NCAA Division II Central Region Championships this morning hosted by Wayne State College at Wayne Country Club. The CSM men finished third out of 19 schools from the RMAC and Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference (NSIC) while the Oredigger women placed eighth overall out of 22 total teams.

CSM men finish third, women take fourth at RMAC Championships
The Colorado School of Mines cross country teams competed in the 2009 Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference (RMAC) Championships this morning at Washington Park in Denver, Colo. hosted by Metropolitan State College of Denver. The CSM men placed third out of 11 RMAC schools while the women finished fourth out of 13 RMAC schools.

Laws and Zywicki named RMAC Runners of the Week; Men up to fifth in nation, women enter national rankings at 22nd
Colorado School of Mines’ Sydney Laws and Ben Zywicki have been named the RMAC Women’s and Men’s Runners of the Week. This is the first time that Laws has earned this honor and the second time Zywicki has been named Runner of the Week.

Oredigger men win third consecutive meet; Women finish third at FHSU Tiger Open
The Colorado School of Mines cross country teams competed at the Fort Hays State Tiger Open on Saturday morning. The Oredigger men won their third consecutive meet while the CSM women finished third overall out of seven teams.

Men win the Woody Greeno Invite; Women place fourth in the College Division
The Colorado School of Mines cross country teams both placed in the top ten at the 2009 Woody Greeno Invite at Pioneer Park hosted by the University of Nebraska. The CSM men were the top team overall and in the College Division. The Oredigger women placed seventh overall and finished fourth in the College Division.

Men win UCCS Rust Buster Invite, women finish second; Laws and Zywicki post first-place finishes
The Colorado School of Mines cross country teams opened the 2009 season at the UCCS Rust Buster Invite at Monument Valley Park in Colorado Springs. The CSM men won the team title while the Oredigger women posted a runner-up finish.
