CSM volleyball takes part in Operation Christmas Child

For the second consecutive winter, the Colorado School of Mines volleyball team is giving back to the community by taking part in a program called ‘Operation Christmas Child'.

Sponsored by Samaritan's Purse, 'Operation Christmas Child' has helped to fill more than 61 million shoe boxes since 1993.  Those shoe boxes, which are filled with a variety of items (coloring books, markers, stickers, toothbrushes, toothpaste, stuffed animals, yo-yo's, candy, hairbrushes, etc.), are then shipped out to children all over the world.

This year, the Orediggers collected enough items to fill two shoe boxes, which will be shipped out to arrive just just before Christmas.
