CSM improves to 4-1, Serra-Hsu named MVP of All-Tournament Team during final day at Holiday Inn Denver West Village Oredigger Volleyball Classic


GOLDEN, Colo. - Colorado School of Mines defeated Minnesota State University Moorhead in five games (22-25, 25-21, 19-25, 25-22, 15-5) and Saint Leo University in three games (25-23, 25-20, 25-15) during the final day of competition at the Holiday Inn Denver West Village Oredigger Volleyball Classic.on Saturday, August 29th, at Lockridge Arena.

Kaity Edmiston had 18 kills and hit .400 at the net as the Orediggers prevailed over MSU Moorhead in their first contest on Saturday.  Elizabeth Serra-Hsu (team-high 20 digs) and Jackie Stabell tallied 17 and 14 kills, respectively, and Betsy Hansing distributed 52 assists.  MSU Moorhead got a team-most 18 kills from Laura Tvrdik.  For the box score, click here.

In the weekend finale, Stabell (.345 hitting percentage) recorded a team-high 13 kills and Edmiston came away with 10 kills as the Orediggers improved to 4-1 on the season.  Serra-Hsu, who was selected as the MVP of the All-Tournament Team, registered a 10-kill, 17-dig double-double.  Emily Calderon-Reyes had 16 kills and Chelsea Armer finished with 16 digs for the Saint Leo University Lions, who fell to 3-1 overall.  For the box score, click here.
