Mines To Face Colby Community College In First Dual Of Season

GOLDEN – The Colorado School of Mines wrestling team will open up the dual portion of its schedule on Thursday by hosting Colby Community College in a nonconference dual at Volk Gymnasium in Golden at 7 p.m.

Mines opened the 2012-13 season with appearances at four-straight open tournaments and will finally get to showcase its skills in front of a home crowd.

The squad will also be hosting a "Pro Wrestling Costume Contest" during the dual. The top three costumes will receive prizes during a competition that will take place during intermission of the contest. The three finalists will be picked by administrators, and the winner will be chosen by the crowd.

Each of the three finalists will receive a prize.

Sheridan High School and Lincoln High School will also face each other in a dual contest on a separate mat on the same night.

All fans that dress up as a pro wrestler will receive free admission to the dual.
