Sixth-ranked Western State defeats CSM, 22-9, in RMAC wrestling action

GOLDEN, Colo. - Sixth-ranked Western State College defeated Colorado School of Mines by the score of 22-9 in a Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference (RMAC) wrestling dual on Thursday evening, January 7th, at Lockridge Arena.

The Mountaineers (1-0-0 overall, 1-0-0 RMAC) got victories from Justin Keys, Cody Frankum, Zach Frazier, third-ranked Donovan McMahill, second-ranked Charlie Alexander, Cody Cole and Hollan Gravley. Western State built a 9-0 advantage and led throughout the dual.
Bradley Price, Chad Lousberg and seventh-ranked Jesse Snider came away victorious for the Orediggers (0-3-0 overall, 0-1-0 RMAC).
Mines will compete in the Hastings College Open on Saturday, January 9th, beginning at 9:00 a.m. (CST) at the Osborne Family Sports Complex in Hastings, Neb.
The Orediggers will also host #10 Adams State College on Friday evening, January 15th, at 7:00 p.m. at Volk Gym. CSM will then travel to Chadron State College on Saturday night, January 16th (7:00 p.m. at Armstrong Gym in Chadron, Neb.).
