#9 UNK defeats CSM, 32-6, in RMAC wrestling dual


KEARNEY, Neb. - Ninth-ranked Nebraska-Kearney defeated Colorado School of Mines by the score of 32-6 in a Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference (RMAC) wrestling dual on Friday evening, February 5th, at the Health & Sports Center.

Joey Morrison (133 lbs.), #4 T.J. Hepburn (149 lbs.), Taylor May (165 lbs.), #1 Marty Usman (174 lbs.), Derek Ross (184 lbs.), Justin McKain (197 lbs.) and Ben Hohensee (HWT) all prevailed for #9 UNK (12-6-0 overall, 3-0-0 RMAC).  The Lopers' Danny Luttrell won via forfeit in the 125 lb. bout, as well.

Mines (2-7-0 overall, 1-5-0 RMAC) got victories from Jesse Snider (141 lbs.; now 24-6) and Ryan Sprackling (157 lbs.; now 6-6).

The Orediggers will compete at #15 Fort Hays State University (7-3-0 overall, 5-0-0 RMAC), an associate member of the RMAC in wrestling, on Saturday, February 6th, at Gross Memorial Coliseum in Hays, Kan.

Mines will return home to host Mesa State College on Wednesday, February 17th, at 7:00 p.m. at Volk Gym in Golden, Colo.

CSM will then close out its regular-season schedule at Colorado State University - Pueblo on Thursday, February 18th (7:00 p.m. at Massari Arena in Pueblo, Colo.).

The NCAA Division II Super Regional Four / RMAC Championships will be held on Saturday, February 27th, at Adams State College (Plachy Hall) in Alamosa, Colo.
