Five provisional marks set by CSM athletes at New Mexico Classic

ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. – Six NCAA provisional
qualifying marks were set by CSM track & field athletes who
participated at the New Mexico Classic on Friday and Saturday, Feb.
5th and 6th in Albuquerque, N.M.
Aaron Swift had the highest finish of any Mines athlete at the
meet. Swift placed second in the 3000 m with a time of 8:39.35.
Mack McLain (4:09.63), Ben Zywicki (4:10.78) and Russell Drummond
(4:12.46) all had provisional marks in the mile run. The distance
medley relay made up of Drummond, Ryan Hanley, Ryan Crisp and
Zywicki also recorded a provisional time of 10:06.76.
Marie Patton placed third in the mile run and also recorded a
provisional qualifying time (4:49.57). Kristen Rinedollar finished
sixth in the 400 m and broke the previous CSM school record that
she held by more than two seconds with a time of 57.63.
The Oredigger track & field squads will be at two meets next
weekend on Friday and Saturday, Feb. 12th and 13th. CSM will be at
the Air Force Invitational in Colorado Springs, Colo. And the Grand
Valley State Big Meet in Allendale, Mich.
