Men’s and women’s squads earn USTFCCCA All-Academic Team accolades
Both the Colorado School of Mines men’s and women’s track & field teams earned United States Track & Field Cross Country Association 2010 Track & Field All-Academic Team honors, as announced by the USTFCCCA. In order to qualify a team must have a cumulative grade point average of 3.00 or better.

Mark Husted was named Division II Outdoor Track Scholar Athlete of the Year while Russell Drummond, David Stuart, Aaron Swift and Nick Zehring all earned All-Academic accolades.

On the final day of the NCAA Division II Outdoor Track & Field National Championships, Mark Husted (800 m) and Mack McLain (1500 m) won the third and fourth individual National Championships in track & field in the history of CSM athletics.

Mines men and women both place fourth at RMAC Outdoor Track & Field Championships
The Colorado School of Mines men’s and women’s track & field teams both finished fourth at the 2010 RMAC Outdoor Track & Field Championships hosted by CSU-Pueblo on Sunday-Tuesday, May 9-11th at the Neta and Eddie DeRose Thunderbowl. The men scored 126 points while the women scored 92.5 points

CSM women third, men fifth after second day of RMAC Outdoor Track & Field Championships
After the completion of the second day of the RMAC Outdoor Track & Field Championships both the men’s and women’s track & field teams are currently in the top five after seven events. The CSM women currently sit in third place with 32 points while the men are in fifth with 33 points.

Mines track & field defeats UCCS in Dual Meet
The CSM track & field team hosted its first meet at the Stermole Track & Field Complex on Friday afternoon. CSM competed in a dual meet against UC-Colorado Springs as the men defeated UCCS, 92-26, while the women defeated UCCS, 74-19.

Athletes from the CSM track & field team competed at three different meets in California and the CSU-Pueblo Multi and Invite over the weekend. Ten new NCAA qualify marks were set including a pair of automatic qualifying times as well as three school records.

Mines women place fourth, men finish fifth at RMAC Indoor Track & Field Championships
The Colorado School of Mines women’s track & field team had its best finish at the RMAC Indoor Championships in the last 20 years finishing fourth scoring 74 points, just six points out of third place. The CSM men finished fifth scoring 65 points as the RMAC Indoor Track & Field Championships came to a close on Saturday afternoon at Steinhauer Fieldhouse.
