Dennis, Moore and Shaw earn RMAC Athlete of the Week honors

GOLDEN, Colo. – Colorado School of
Mines’ Jesse Dennis and Sarah Moore both earned RMAC Diver of
the Week honors while Kevin Shaw was selected as the RMAC
Men’s Swimmer of the Week, as announced this afternoon.
Dennis, a sophomore from Kirkland, Ariz. (Yavapi C.C.), has now
been named the RMAC Men’s Diver of the Week a total of five
times this season. Dennis finished second in both the 1-meter
(418.85) and 3-meter (384.65) events at the Colorado College
Classic on Jan. 22nd and 23rd.
Moore, a freshman from Littleton, Colo. (Chatfield H.S.), won both
the 1-meter (393.25) and 3-meter (428.10) events at the Colorado
College Classic. It marked the fifth time this season that Moore
has won both events at a competition. Moore has now been selected
as the RMAC Women’s Diver of the Week six times this
season.
Shaw, a senior from Centennial, CO (Smoky Hill H.S.), helped lead
the Oredigger men to its second team title this season winning
three events at the Colorado College Classic. Shaw, who earned RMAC
Men’s Swimmer of the Week honors for the third time in his
career, won the 200 breaststroke (2:14.26), 200 IM (1:59.05) and
400 IM (4:16.25).
The Orediggers will host the RMAC Swimming & Diving
Championships beginning on Thursday, Feb. 11th in Arvada, Colo. at
Meyers Pool.
