CSM men prevail 70-58 at CCU to pick up fifth straight win

LAKEWOOD, Colo. - Colorado School of Mines defeated Colorado Christian University by the score of 70-58 in Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference (RMAC) men's basketball action on Tuesday night, February 2nd, at the CCU Event Center. For the box score, CLICK HERE.
CSM's Brett Green went 7-of-14 from the floor and 10-of-11 from the free throw line while scoring a game-high and career-high 28 points. Green made 4-of-8 attempts from three-point range and distributed three assists as the Orediggers (11-9 overall, 8-4 RMAC) won their fifth in a row.
The Orediggers, who rallied from a 35-32 halftime deficit, have also won six of their past seven contests. Drew Hoffman (five rebounds) tallied 11 points and Sean Armstrong, the reigning RMAC / Baden East Division Player of the Week, contributed 10 points. Dale Minschwaner, Gordon Galloway and Levi Hamilton recorded six rebounds apiece for Mines.
Jobi Wall (21 points, 11 rebounds) and Justin Neuhaus (15 points, 11 rebounds) both had double-doubles for Colorado Christian (7-12 overall, 5-7 RMAC). The Cougars, who out-rebounded CSM 39 to 33, had just seven free throw attempts all evening.
Mines will return home to host UC - Colorado Springs on Saturday night, February 6th, at Lockridge Arena. CSM will also host Regis University and Metro State on Friday and Saturday, February 12th and 13th, respectively. Tipoff is scheduled for 8:00 p.m. for all three games. February 13th will be Parent's Night / Senior Night for the Orediggers.
