Brandon Leimbach begins his third year as the Associate Director of Athletics at Colorado School of Mines in 2010-11. Leimbach previously served as CSM's Assistant Athletic Director of Recreational Sports for six seasons (2002-03 to 2007-08).

Leimbach, who also serves as the assistant golf coach at Mines, helped guide the Orediggers to their first-ever team appearance at the NCAA Division II West / Central Super Regional in 2009-10.  Mines placed five players on the Academic All-RMAC Golf Teams in 2009-10, as well, including Cory Bacon, who garnered First Team accolades.

Leimbach spent two years as the Assistant Director of Intramural Sports at the University of California - Irvine prior to his arrival at CSM.  Leimbach's experience also includes an internship at Notre Dame and a graduate assistant position at his alma mater, Saint Mary's College (Moraga, California).

Leimbach played football and rugby for the Gaels before going on to earn his bachelor's (Sports Management) and master's (H.P.E.R.) degrees from Saint Mary's in 1998 and 1999, respectively.

During his prep career at Fountain Valley High School in California, Leimbach was selected as FVHS's Male Student-Athlete of the Year in 1994, and is a member of Fountain Valley's football and basketball Hall of Fame.

Leimbach and his wife, Bekki, reside in Golden with their daughters, Riley (9) and Avery (8), and son, Brady (4).
