
PALM DESERT, Calif. - Colorado School of Mines has moved up to 10th place after the second day of competition at the NCAA Division II West / Central Regional on Tuesday, May 4th, at Classic Club (par 72).
The Orediggers, who were tied for 14th place after the opening round of competition on Monday, posted a team score of 296 on Tuesday and currently stand at +28 (604).

The Orediggers, who qualified as the #6 seed in the Central Region, will begin the final day of competition on Wednesday 10 strokes out of fifth place.

CSM's Jim Knous is tied for 22nd at +4 (77, 71) while Cory Bacon is tied for 36th at +7 (76, 75). Elliot Feng is tied for 49th at +8 (79, 73), Chad Herges is tied for 54th at +9 (76, 77) and Sean Hovelkamp is tied for 106th at +27 (83, 88).
The NCAA Division II West / Central Super Regional will conclude on Wednesday, May 5th, at Classic Club.

The top five teams, as well as the top two players (regardless of region) who are not affiliated with one of those five teams, from the NCAA Division II West / Central Super Regional will advance to compete in the NCAA Division II Championships, which are scheduled to take place on Tuesday - Friday, May 18th - 21st, at Sagamore Golf Club in Noblesville, Ind.
