Oredigger golfers tie for sixth place at FHSU Invitational

HAYS, Kan. - Colorado School of Mines tied for sixth place at the Fort Hays State University Invitational, which was held on Monday and Tuesday, October 5th and 6th, at Smoky Hill Country Club (par 71) in Hays, Kan.

The Orediggers concluded the two-day, two-round event with a team score of 626 (+58) to finish in a two-way tie for sixth place with the host Tigers.
CSM's Chad Herges tied for seventh place at +8 after posting rounds of 75 on Monday and Tuesday. Sean Hovelkamp (71, 86; +15) tied for 27th, Bobby McCracken (84, 78; +20) tied for 51st, Joe Schwark (75, 88; +21) tied for 54th and Cory Bacon (84, 82; +24) placed 61st.
The Orediggers will conclude their 2009 fall season by co-hosting the CSM / Regis University Fall Invitational on Monday and Tuesday, October 12th and 13th, at Blackstone Country Club in Aurora, Colo.
