The Orediggers went 8-3 overall in 2009 (8-1 RMAC - second place) to secure their eighth winning season in the past nine years. The 2009 season marked the sixth time in program history that CSM amassed eight-or-more victories, and three of those six seasons have come in the past six years (2004, 2008, 2009). The Orediggers, who had two All-American selections (Schiechl and Adam Saur) and 11 NFF All-Colorado picks, also placed nine student-athletes on the Academic All-RMAC teams in 2009.
