Silver & Blue Associates

The Colorado School of Mines intercollegiate athletic program provides student-athletes the opportunity to participate in 18 varsity sports. As one of 14 institutions in the Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference, Mines athletes have the opportunity to compete locally, regionally and nationally. The RMAC is an NCAA Division II affiliate consisting of 10 institutions in Colorado, two in New Mexico, one in Nebraska and one in South Dakota. Mines provides an excellent environment for both the scholar and the athlete.

Only a handful of universities in the realm of NCAA Division II athletics are academically selective as Mines. Each year, Mines student-athletes succeed on the playing field and in the classroom. In fact, athletes have equal or higher GPA’s compared to the overall Mines student population. The Mines intercollegiate athletic program is built on the belief that rigorous and disciplined athletic training can strengthen academic success – and our program proves it year-in and year-out at the highest NCAA  Division II Levels.

This tradition of athletic and academic excellence has been built not only by our student-athletes and coaches, but by your loyal support as well.
